  • Alcohol X Gasoline Learn the myths and truths

Since its launch in 2003, the flex has dominated the market and expanded the options for drivers. Most plants offer models with both fuels: ethanol and gasoline. Ethanol has always been cheaper compared to gasoline, which creates the illusion of saving fueling him. But is it always fill your car advantage with alcohol?

The answer is no. While it is cheaper alcohol has lower performance than gasoline, or spend more to rotate the same distance as gasoline. In numbers, this means that a car fueled with ethanol consumes 30% more fuel. So there’s only advantage in putting alcohol in the car if the cost of fuel is up to 70% of the price of gasoline.

To check if it’s worth just make an account is simple. Divide the value of a liter of gasoline by alcohol. If the result is less than 0.7, the alcohol use. If larger choice gasoline. Example: the value of alcohol and $ 1.45 gasoline, $ 2.90. This result of the division of first by second, is 0.5, which is smaller than 0.7 (70%). Soon, more advantageous fuel with alcohol.

Vale points out that the advantage of gasoline in autonomy is applied to all vehicles, either 1.0 or 2.0, for example. Also there is no influence of other factors that consume more fuel as the use of air conditioning, heavy car, transit or stretches of mountains.

    Regarding motor

There are many stories that fuel the car is better than alcohol with gasoline, as ethanol is not as “good” as gasoline. Have also heard that the car gets used with a fuel, or even if the car constantly fill with alcohol, will sometimes supply with gasoline. For specialist automakers and this is myth!

With current technology, in relation to maintenance and wear of parts of motor cars with flex, no noticeable differences or problems arising in supply for any alcohol-gasoline ratio. What is remember to do mechanical processing, ie when the car does not come in factory original format bi fuel may cause problems.

Today is another reality. Proof of this is that hybrid cars do not need more alcohol to warm up before starting to run.

    What fuel pollutes more?

Alcohol Fuel: Composed of hydrogen, carbon and oxygen. Also called ethanol or ethyl alcohol, is produced by fermentation from sugar cane, ie it is not a fuel derived from petroleum, for that alone takes advantage burning emits less greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.

The calorific value of alcohol is 6300 cal / g, this value represents the ability of the fuel to release energy when burned. In the case of alcohol the value is high, meaning that he is able to move the car with less fuel burning, which reflects in less pollutants.

Gasoline: basically composed of hydrocarbons (carbon and hydrogen). Presents as its combustion products, carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide. Carbon dioxide (CO2) is a dangerous gas that contributes to the greenhouse effect and global warming. Already the carbon monoxide (CO) is a gas formed by incomplete combustion and accumulates in our atmosphere as a pollutant (smog haze = dark). Both are harmful to humanity. Ethanol is a fuel that does not affect the ozone layer. (Source: mundoeducao)

Conclusion. If you want to contribute something to the environment can get in position, choosing fuel. For this purpose, alcohol is the best option.

  • What Is A Vacuum Forming Machine

Traditionally used in heavy industries to design prototypes and produce thousands of models, vacuum forming machine and molds have become increasingly popular with individuals wanting to produce their own works.

Identification:According to Formech International, a producer of vacuum forming machine, molds can range from simple carved wooden pieces to complicated aluminum forms that can be used to create items such as car dashboards or airline cockpit controls. Materials:Plaster and wood molds are used for low temperature plastics requiring few parts, while jobs requiring higher temperature plastics and industrial production numbers use aluminum based resins or aluminum molds. Realistically, Plastic materials are easy to manufacture and create with few costs. Most plastic products are created by using special molds, which the take the liquid plastic and construct it into the desired shape. One mold is used multiple times, making the process predictable and easy. Plastic are easier to fabricate than metal components and require less energy and time for the process. Workers don’t have to be as skilled as metal workers, which makes it possible to use workers with little experience.

almost anything can be used as a mold so long as it can withstand the temperatures of the plastic being used, according to Professor Ted Selker of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (see Resources). In the years following the war, Regina’s competitors out-performed them, and Regina experienced dwindling profits. They attempted to broaden their sales base by adding other cleaning products to their repertoire. When that failed to increase profits, an investment group purchased majority interest in Regina.

Process:The process for using a vacuum forming mold is fairly simple. The mold is put in place on the machine first, on an apparatus that can be raised or lowered. A thermoplastic sheet is inserted into the machine and then heated. The mold is raised from below into the hot plastic, and the plastic molds around it. The vacuum then draws all of the air out of the plastic and sets it to the mold’s shape. After setting, air is pumped back in to separate the mold from the plastic. The investment group introduced the Regina Steamer, and the Regina Housekeeper and profits improved. Unfortunately, the investment group experienced management problems, and sold their rights to Regina. In 2000, the Royal Corporation purchased the rights to Regina, but sell the vacuums using the Home Depot brand name.

Types:There are two types of molds used by vacuum forming machine: male (positive) and female (negative). Male form molds project upward toward the plastic sheet, while female forms molds project downward. The top surface of the mold is what comes into contact with the plastic and is therefore better finished, and that is the determinant for using a male or female mold. Benefits:vacuum forming machine can be used in many industries. They are used by companies in the fields of aeronautics, agriculture, automotive, construction, computers, design, electronics, and many more. They are versatile and easy to produce.

  • Handling Magnetic Door Decals For Trucks

Magnetic vehicle magnets are a great choice for identifying your vehicle on a job site or to advertise your business or service, and they give you the choice to remove them for anonymity in the evenings and on the weekends. They can now be produced in full color for the same price as we used to make them in a monochromatic design, so the sky is the limit with these decals.

However, as you’ve pointed out in your question, many of our clients or other company’s clients aren’t exactly sure how to care for magnetic door decals. Let me say it once here – it is VERY IMPORTANT to maintain your magnetic decals properly for the sake of the decals, but even more so for your vehicle’s paint longevity, because if you don’t, you may cause serious problems for the paint under the area where your magnetic decals are placed on your vehicle’s door.

First, in regards to your decals, you must remove them off your vehicle daily, especially during the winter or rainy season in your area, but I would recommend doing this year around. However, in dry areas, one could get by with removing them once weekly (as on the weekends). Still, when your truck or car doors’ paint is at stake, I personally would say to err on the safe and less costly side of this equation.

When you remove your door magnets, you’ll want to have a place where you lay them out flat every evening, or at least for the weekend. Any slight bump will permanently create a bump in the magnetic material that may cause an edge to lift while you’re driving, and if an edge lifts, there is a good chance the wind rushing past your vehicle will simply remove the decal completely with or without your noticing it. Even if you notice it, the odds of it not being ruined are pretty slim. So, laying the decals perfectly flat is the main issue for storage, whether short or long term.

Why am I so emphatic on removing your door magnets daily? Whether you can see it or not, moisture will get trapped under your magnets. When moisture is trapped beneath the magnet, it has nowhere to go, except into the micro-pores of the automotive paint, at which point the moisture will contact the metal, creating small rust spots. These rust spots will bleed through the paint and begin deteriorating your vehicles paint via the moisture that you trapped beneath the magnets.

So, to recap, you really have three basic rules with vehicle door magnetic signs. First, remove them frequently – I advise you do it every day when you get home. Second, store the decal magnets flat, flat, flat. And flatter. You’ll never have them blow off your car this way. And third, make sure you follow the first two rules and you’ll never have problems with your automobile’s paint falling off or having rust spots develop.

  • The 10 Steps Of Car Salesman Training

When you become an auto sales person, the dealership where you are starting your sales career will typically provide some sort of car salesman training. This training will teach you everything you need to start selling vehicles regardless of you ever having any sales experience. Every car dealer has a certain selling system that they teach their sales people which may consist of 8 to 12 different steps. Overall the car sales systems are generally the same with some of the steps get combined and other dealers drag them out.
I will use a 10 step system to illustrate the steps and the reasons for each step in the car salesman training program so you can see the importance of each step. The sales systems that auto dealers use to train car salesmen is not been put together haphazardly, there have been years of study and research done to create an atmosphere that is conducive to buying a car.

    The Car Salesman Training Steps

    1. Meet and Greet: This is the introduction of the car sales person to the potential car buyer. You shake hands, exchange names and try to get comfortable with each other.

    2. Discovery: This part of the car salesman training is where the sales person will ask the customer questions and try to understand what they want, such as options, colors, new or used, price range etc.

    3. Choose a Vehicle: This is a critical step because if you put them in the wrong car you wont sell them no matter how good a car salesman you might be. This is where the car salesman training can make a big difference because you must be sure to choose a vehicle in their price range they actually like and want to drive home.

    4. Why Buy Today: After selecting the right car it is time to tell them why they should buy it now. It could be any number of reasons depending on the car. It could be special financing, other interested buyers or the big sale that is going on.

    5. Walkaround: During your car salesman training you will be instructed on how to do a proper Walkaround which is exactly what it sounds like. You show the customer all of the features and benefits from under the hood to the interior.

    6. Test Drive: You car sales training will also show you the key points of taking your customer for a test drive while you have the potential car buyer focus on the areas or options that are important to them.

    7. Negotiation: You learn how to present numbers and payments to the customer and overcome objections which keep you car buyer from saying yes.

    8. Closing: Now its time to close the car sale. There are many different car sales closing techniques which you can use to close the car sale which are based on the type of customer you are selling.

    9. Delivery: The car salesman training will take you from doing paperwork to greeting the car ready for delivery and introducing your customer to the business manager.

    10. Follow Up: The final step of any quality car sales training system includes following up with your customer. It is important to have a happy and satisfied customer so they will return and buy more cars over the years.

As you can see, there is much more to selling cars than driving cars and collecting checks. Each step of the car salesman training is quite involved and could cover all of the word tracks, sales scripts and psychological factors that are involved in selling cars professionally.

  • Troubleshooting Car Vibration – The Three Types Of Driveline Vibration

There are several different possible causes for a driveline vibration. Your wheels, tires, axles, driveshaft, transmission, clutch or torque converter and engine components are all rotating at a high rate of speed, and any one or more of these components can create a vibration if they are worn or out of spec. Worn or broken engine or transmission mounts can transmit normal vibrations that usually aren’t ever felt, and accidental body contact with the engine, transmission, or exhaust can also be misinterpreted as a driveline vibration. The first step in diagnosing a classic car vibration is to determine exactly when and under what conditions the vibration occurs.

There are three basic types of vibrations:

    1. Engine RPM related – If the vibration is related to engine RPM, it will occur in all gears (and possibly even sitting still) at a particular engine RPM or above. This vibration usually can be attributed to the engine itself or anything else that turns at the same speed as the engine, such as the harmonic balancer, flywheel or flexplate, pilot bearing, pressure plate, torque converter, or transmission input shaft. It is also possible for body contact with the engine, transmission, or exhaust to cause an engine RPM related vibration. Worn or broken engine or transmission mounts can contribute to this problem. When driving the vehicle with the vibration present, maintain vehicle speed and try shifting to a lower or higher gear. If the vibration changes or goes away while maintaining the same vehicle speed, then the problem is not related to engine RPM.

    2. Vehicle Speed related – If the vibration is related to vehicle speed, it will not be present until you reach a certain speed, and then it will usually start gradually and then become worse as speed increases. In some cases, it will decrease at some point, and then come back again at a higher speed. This type of vibration could be related to your wheels, tires, axles, differential, driveshaft runout, balance, or angles, universal joints, or transmission output shaft. Try the same driving test as above. If the vibration is present in third gear at 50 mph, but shifting to fourth gear at 50 MPH makes the vibration go away, then it is not going to be vehicle speed related and you can usually rule out any rotating component that is further back than the transmission output shaft. At a given MPH, your output shaft, driveshaft, axles, wheels and tires are all turning at a constant speed, no matter what gear the transmission is in.

    3. Accel/Decel/Cruise related – A vibration that changes depending on whether you are accelerating, decelerating, or cruising at a steady speed could have quite a few different causes. Generally, this will be related to driveshaft angles or a worn or broken part, instead of something being out of balance. Think about what changes when the engine is under load. The engine and isolator mount loads shift; the load on the pinion bearing changes; your driveshaft angles change, possibly more than they should due to a broken engine or transmission mount; your exhaust, shifter, transmission, etc. could be contacting the body only on accel or decel; if the car has been lowered (or raised), your suspension snubbers could be contacting the body prematurely.

A vehicle works as a system, and you have to understand the relationships between all the different parts when you are trying to diagnose a driveline vibration. Determining if the vibration is related to engine speed, vehicle speed, or engine load will help you narrow down the list of possible culprits, and keep you from wasting your time looking in the wrong places.

  • Car Decals – Against Window Defroster, Weatherproof, On Tinted Windows, Adhesive Strength

Can the Rear Car Defroster Affect the Window Stickers

It shouldn’t. Most rear car window decals on cars or trucks have an acrylic adhesive that should withstand temperature up to 180F (82C). Your rear window defroster, if functioning normally, is likely never to get near that temperature.

Are Stickers from Vinyl Material Weatherproof?

Vinyl stickers are 100% weatherproof, and if the ink is of good quality, then there really shouldn’t be any problem with water at any temperature, or snow either for that matter. Sun is probably the hardest on decals as it causes ink to fade.

Vinyl decals, also known as PVC or polyvinyl chloride decals, are a supple plastic material that is either hot cast or cold-rolled (calendared). The cast vinyl is more dimensionally stable as the calendared material has “memory” of its original shape and size and will tend to shrink over time (don’t worry, it will never get all the way back!).

Because cast vinyl is poured hot, the production process is costlier, the material is actually thinner than calendared, and it usually carries a longer warranty. However, most decal printers use calendared films, except for vehicle wraps or other high-end graphics that most often are printed on cast vinyl.

Either way, though, to answer your original question, yes, vinyl stickers are definitely weatherproof. And if you find whatever you stuck on your car is not weatherproof, then it wasn’t a vinyl sticker, but more likely a cheap laminated paper sticker.

Do polyvinyl or polyester decals damage window tints?

Most normal vinyl or polyester stickers or decals should not affect your window tinting. Most factory tinting is done with liquid tinting now, but if you have an aftermarket tint, the adhesive is very aggressive and if you use some heat, like a hair dryer, the decal should release with relative ease, although it may leave adhesive on the window tint.

Most hardware stores have orange peel oil based glue removers that won’t harm the window tinting, but will remove the decal adhesive without hazing the window.

However, if you’re worried about it, then get only vinyl car window stickers that have back adhesive, and stick them to the outside of the car window, or, if you want interior decals, choose static cling which has no adhesive, or a removable sticker or decal.

However, be sure that the removable decal is removable for a long period of time if you plan to leave it on your car window, as many removables have a time limit on how long you’ll be able to remove the sticker.

Do Car Window Stickers easily Wash Off?

Short answer is if they do, you probably don’t have a vinyl window decal, you probably have a paper decal with a laminate or varnish which was not supposed to be used on the outside of your cars.

Often companies will promote a product with an inexpensive paper label that works fine if you are sticking them to a notebook or a refrigerator, but they’re not good for sticking to things outside your home or school.

Vinyl stickers, made of PVC cast or calendared vinyl sheeting, should never wash off your car, and should last 2-3 years before the ink fades out completely. So if you’re ordering window decals for cars to promote your product or service, make sure you’re getting outdoor durable stickers.

  • How Motor Legal Protection Can Help Young Drivers

Motor legal protection, also known as motor legal cover provides a revolutionary way to lower car insurance costs, and can help drivers of all ages. It’s certainly not news to anyone that young motorists receive a lot of bad press, and recent findings by the RAC Foundation showed that one in five will be involved in a road accident within six months of starting out. Regardless of who is at fault, these figures emphasise that it is now more important than ever for drivers aged 24 and under to seriously consider covering their backs with motor legal protection.

    Comprehensive Cover

Motor legal protection is designed to help you recover your losses in the event of a motor-related accident that wasn’t your fault. The policy will pay lawyer fees up to 100,000 to help you recover any uninsured losses (such as claims for personal injury, vehicle repair costs, car hire charges, loss of earnings and any policy excess). A trend amongst young people is to opt for the most basic level of car insurance, third-party cover, to reduce the soaring premiums they’re faced with. Motor legal expenses insurance provides a savvy way of increasing your level of cover on top of this, all without breaking the bank.

A 2013 survey conducted by One Poll highlighted the lack of confidence many young motorists feel after passing their test. 29% reported feeling completely unprepared to drive alone after passing their test, and considering the statistics stacked against them, it’s no surprise many feel this way. Motor legal protection can help relieve some of this anxiety and leave you knowing that, should you be involved in an accident that was not your fault, you’ll have the support you need in claiming back your uninsured losses.

The average price of young drivers’ first cars is also a cost that has risen, according to a One Poll survey conducted this year. It shows that, in contrast to their parent’s generation, this figure has gone up by 1,225. A likely factor in this is financial support from parents, with 27% of kids admitting that their first car was bought for them. This compares to only 10% of people over 55 receiving help in buying their first set of wheels when they were setting out, and hits home the fact that, in order to protect their investment, parents should be ensuring their children have motor legal expenses insurance.

    Shop Around

Many customers don’t actually understand the benefits of having motor legal protection, seeing it more as a costly add-on pushed by their insurance providers. Often, this can be true: some companies will charge you as much as 30 for this service. Buying it as a stand-alone product instead can give you the freedom to find a better deal, as some providers will offer it from as little as 6.75 a year.

    Get It or Regret It

No-one likes to spend unnecessarily, and managing money when you’re young can sometimes seem like an impossible task. But I’m sure many of us have regretted not taking out insurance before it was too late, and with the peace of mind provided by motor legal cover, at least you’ll know that you won’t be stung by any unexpected fees. When you compare it to the amount you’d have to cough up without this cover, it’s a no-brainer.

If you’re interested in learning more about Motor Legal Protection and how it can benefit you or your family, visit Best Price FS today. They offer this comprehensive cover from as little as 6.75 a year.
